Beyond Thai Massage

Beyond Thai Massage
origins-thai-spa-elite-arlington-002There’s a calming sensation that washes over us while we give a massage. It’s a sensory thing. We’ve always felt that we can read people. And there’s something about the techniques of Thai that entwines you with somebody else. We think people can sense a connection even when they are stressed. For whatever reason, they instantly feel able to relax.

We’ve always understood the capacity of Thai to heal body and mind. There was once a wise old monk called Lua-see stretching out with a knowing contentedness. The story goes that after days of meditation in the forest, sitting in one position for long time, he was able to relieve his aching limbs through a series of stretches.

Armed with the knowledge of this physical relief the art form of Thai massage was developed and recorded by monks. It’s techniques were passed down from legends from generation to generation: a legacy of health both in body and mind there for all of us to tap in to, no matter how young or old we are.

No wonder it took months to learn. A physical and mentally challenge, we were driven by the knowledge that we could help people find a better balance in their lives.

It was clear during our tuition that Thai stretching was not just a way to massage, but was also an exercise and something that benefited sports as well as mental stress. Nobody ever forget the feeling that builds from stretching your body this way and that. The same feeling as when you do yoga and meditation. The benefits of Thai massage are endless. All I know is when you have a healthy mind, you can do many good things for people.

Like Lau-see found through the discipline of meditation massage is energy giving and life fulfilling.

In the end Thai is more than just a massage.
